Apple will allow EU users to download apps from third-party shops

Apple will allow European Union (EU) users to download apps from third-party sources, not just the Apple App Store. This is stated in the company’s press release.

Changes for developers are introduced in iOS 17.4 and due to the law on digital markets adopted in the European Union, they will be adopted by March.

Thus, users will be able to install third-party app shops on devices from their websites. After verification from Apple, it will be possible to download the necessary software from them, including those that are not presented in the App Store.
