Signs of a smartphone wiretap have been named

Vasily Shutov, a lecturer at the KB-1 Information Protection Department of RTU MIREA, has told how to check whether a smartphone is subject to eavesdropping. He said this in a conversation with the agency “Prime”.

The analyst called the signs of wiretapping on a smartphone and attributed to them the overheating of the device, as well as the discharge of the battery. After assessing the physical condition of the gadget, he urged to check it with the help of anti-virus programmes or special USSD commands.

“There are different commands for different types of devices – you can easily find them online,” the expert added.
